Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and returns any result through its own service. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message so that we can respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our servers may receive technical information about that visit:
- The IP address assigned to the device
- The browser and its version
- The device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- The referring site, when one is available
- The timestamp for a page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. They help show how visitors use the resource, including which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics services aggregate that activity. A browser can be set to block cookies, though some site functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating the resource and supporting page performance
- Passing a search request to the applicable partner service
- Assessing which pages are useful and which need improvement
- Finding and resolving technical problems
- Displaying advertisements that may be relevant to a visitor's interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This resource does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Thurston County court dockets or personal case information. It provides general routing to the court clerks, the trial courts, and Nebraska's public case-information system. Official access to Nebraska court records is governed by the Nebraska Public Records Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. § 84-712, together with the Judicial Branch's Rule § 1-801, Rule § 1-804, and Rule § 1-808. We are not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case records.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes on this resource. Information entered into one of those tools is subject to that partner's privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing practices rather than this policy. Review the partner's policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to clerk pages, court portals, statewide services, legal-aid resources, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this resource, the receiving site's privacy policy controls that visit. Review that policy before sharing personal information.
Some advertising partners may track activity across sites to deliver targeted advertising. Any such tracking occurs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with:
- Search partners that process a query entered through a site tool
- Analytics services used to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use customary safeguards for information we collect. No internet-connected service is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor's information has been submitted, notify us so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Nebraska's public court-record access framework includes the Nebraska Public Records Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. § 84-712, and Judicial Branch Rules § 1-804 and § 1-808. Those authorities concern official court-record access and restrictions; this resource remains a private site. For personal data held under this policy, you may:
- Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Request deletion of personal data
- Opt out of certain data-processing activities
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date.
Effective date: August 29, 2026
